principles of corporate governance is synonymous is good business
ethics and highest standards of business integrity. Thus naturally
adherence to sound principles of corporate governance, is
pertinent to safeguarding MSC’s reputation, assets,
investor confidence, and customer loyalty. Realising this,
the Board of Directors of MSC is strongly beholden to the
principles of corporate governance.
Corporate governance policies are already in place to ensure
the proper operation of the Group in line with the long-term
best interests of shareholders and requirements of law. These
are reviewed continually and improvements are made to ensure
that the adoption is not confined to form but embodies the
substance and spirit behind the prescriptions. MSC fully supports
and implements the prescriptions of the Principles and the
Best Practises set out in Parts 1 and 2 of the Malaysian Code
on Corporate Governance (the 'Code') respectively.
Generally, the MSC
group views corporate governance with three key concepts,
namely transparency, accountability as well as corporate performance.
Transparent accounting conforming fully to the requirements
of MASB, commitment to provide prompt and full public disclosure
as well as disseminating comprehensive information on the
performance of the company has already been the practice of
the MSC Group.
